Laundry Day!

Down 45 steps in my new apartment building (no elevator) with 2 loads of laundry. Insert coins and get 2 machines going, and have to go up 45 steps because I forgot the little baggie for the delicates. Down 45 steps again only to discover I had taken the delicates upstairs to put IN the baggie, and left them up there!

Up 45 steps to get the delicates and down 45 to put them in baggie and into the washing machine. Up 45 stairs to wait for the next part, the switching of laundry into  the drier. More up and downs! Don’t forget coins for the drier!

So, 270 steps just to get the laundry in and started and then I have to go up and down to switch loads into drier, up and down again to check on the drier loads, and up and down one last time to pick up dry clothes and bring them to the top floor apartment.

Half my walking for the day is done!

YAY !!

A lot of work for someone in their 60’s…..

I’m EXHAUSTED!
