I had to go down island to see the doctor today. It was not a very nice drive down with all the rain and such. I’m not fond of driving in the rain at all!
I started off in the upper highway but very quickly got myself back down on the slower ocean route for safety. It proved to be much better conditions on the sea front and I had this glorious view of large crashing waves that made me want to stop and get out to take a pic, had it not been so wet and windy!
The doctor was behind in her appointments, so a lady and I chatted while we waited. Finally, an attendant came out and asked for me. She wanted to weigh me and check my height. I asked her why, since I have always been 5’4 and a half all my life. She said, “I don’t know. We just check.”
Much to our astonishment, therefore, came the announcement that I was now only 5’3″!!!! I’m SHRINKING!!!!! Help!!!!!!
I saw my doctor and forgot to ask her about that, with all her poking and prodding into my deepest extremities. Other things took over my mind 😉 Seriously, she is a good doctor, and most thorough. I do appreciate her very much 😉
So, I have no idea why I’m suddenly shrinking near the end of my 66th year? Is that normal? Does anyone know?
I was blessed by much better weather on the way home and by a spectacular turquoise/blue/pink sunset for my viewing pleasure. More waves, but gentler now.
I’m home, if only a little smaller than I was….but happy!
AJ 😉
Yes. It happens.

Hahaha, maybe as previous commenter Vicki said or maybe an error in measurement. Your way of presentation was certainly humorous. Thank you 🙂

Good blog Ann. It’s personal, interesting and humorous. I expect you will keep shrinking until you reach stealth mode.

Nice post, Ann. At almost age 58, I know all about the poking and prodding! Regarding the shrinking, can’t answer for that, but, hopefully, the older we get, the more we grow and grow in our relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ! God be with you, young lady!

Haha! I’m glad we share something! 😉
I’m hardly a young lady, except perhaps in my mind, where anything is possible 😉

I think it is quite normal to shrink as we get older. But, I haven’t Googled that.
