Day 21, An Attitude of Gratitude
Dec 21, 2012
Today I am thankful for the simple message of the gospel, the “Good News”.
I think about it especially as we approach Christmas and we choose this time to remember the birth of a baby who was to be the Saviour of all mankind.
God made it very simple. A baby born in a stable, laid in a manger. Lived, died and rose again. For you and me.
Jesus, God in the flesh, coming to enter into a relationship of forgiveness, healing and reconciliation with every man, to bring freedom from bondage to self and sin, the free gift of eternal life.
One song tells the whole story for me. It asks the simple question, “Who is He?”
If you don’t know the answer to this question yet, I pray you will take some time this Christmas season to find out and to marvel at this incredible thing God has done, for you, for me, for all of us……
“Who is He in yonder stall?”
Who is He in yonder stall,
At whose feet the shepherds fall?
‘Tis the Lord! oh wondrous story!
‘Tis the Lord! the King of glory!
At His feet we humbly fall,
Crown Him! crown Him, Lord of all!
Who is He in deep distress,
Fasting in the wilderness?
‘Tis the Lord! oh wondrous story!
‘Tis the Lord! the King of glory!
At His feet we humbly fall,
Crown Him! crown Him, Lord of all!
Who is He the people bless
For His words of gentleness?
‘Tis the Lord! oh wondrous story!
‘Tis the Lord! the King of glory!
At His feet we humbly fall,
Crown Him! crown Him, Lord of all!
Who is He to whom they bring
All the sick and sorrowing?
‘Tis the Lord! oh wondrous story!
‘Tis the Lord! the King of glory!
At His feet we humbly fall,
Crown Him! crown Him, Lord of all!
Who is He that stands and weeps
At the grave where Lazarus sleeps?
‘Tis the Lord! oh wondrous story!
‘Tis the Lord! the King of glory!
At His feet we humbly fall,
Crown Him! crown Him, Lord of all!
Who is He the gathering throng
Greet with loud triumphant song?
‘Tis the Lord! oh wondrous story!
‘Tis the Lord! the King of glory!
At His feet we humbly fall,
Crown Him! crown Him, Lord of all!
Lo! at midnight, who is He
Prays in dark Gethsemane?
‘Tis the Lord! oh wondrous story!
‘Tis the Lord! the King of glory!
At His feet we humbly fall,
Crown Him! crown Him, Lord of all!
Who is He on yonder tree
Dies in grief and agony?
‘Tis the Lord! oh wondrous story!
‘Tis the Lord! the King of glory!
At His feet we humbly fall,
Crown Him! crown Him, Lord of all!
Who is He who from the grave
Comes to succor, help, and save?
‘Tis the Lord! oh wondrous story!
‘Tis the Lord! the King of glory!
At His feet we humbly fall,
Crown Him! crown Him, Lord of all!
Who is He who from His throne
Rules through all the worlds alone?
‘Tis the Lord! oh wondrous story!
‘Tis the Lord! the King of glory!
At His feet we humbly fall,
Crown Him! crown Him, Lord of all!
Thank You, God! \o/
