Do you like books? I sure do.
I like to read, enjoy a good novel. I have a mountain of books I will read and reread because I consider most of them worth keeping and revisiting.
It’s very hard for me to part with a book because somehow I feel as if some of me is invested in it, so I’m hesitant to throw it away or give it away. I can’t borrow library books, or other people’s books, because I would want to write in them, underline stuff or highlight, and it would frustrate me not to be able to do that, hahahaha! I will sometimes even carry out a thoroughly highlighted, underlined and commented upon “argument” with the author throughout the pages of a book.
One fellow I borrowed a particular book from, (I had advised him about the dangers and my frustration level if I could not deface it) said he’d be happy to get his book back highlighted and underlined, complete with comments, and that he’d be very interested to discover what I found to be of importance and what I had to say about it.
COOL!
Out with the highlighter and the pen!

Haha! I’ve been known to talk to books when I’m reading, but I can’t say I’ve ever written in one. 🙂 Thanks for sharing your methods!
