Day 13, An Attitude of Gratitude

Today I am thankful for all the beauty that surrounds me. I am sitting looking at an Amaryllis on the table at a friend’s house and that’s what made me think how I love looking at beautiful things, all of which can be traced back to God, when you really think about it.
There are the many intricate wonders of nature, like these very beautiful flowers, glorious sunrises and sunsets, the stars and the ocean. These all stir me to think of the Creator of all things, who designed everything with such amazing detail and order.
Then there are the wonders of art and music, and writing, expressed through those God has blessed with gifts of creativity, again stirring our souls to think and feel deeply outside of our every day experiences. I am transported out of the ordinary by a painting, a sculpture, a piece of music, or a well written tale.
God has given us all these to enjoy freely and to bring us to a place of wonder, perhaps to seek Him out, the Maker of all good things….
