A taste of FAITH, a touch of LAUGHTER.
Taking a Stand
Where do you draw the line?
Where do you take a stand, no matter how difficult it makes life for you?
During these troubling “pandemic” times, I came to this place. Presented with an opportunity of “choice”, I saw there was no real choice, only a question of allegience.
That made things easier, in a way, because I could not “sit on the fence” for very long. A decision had to be made and followed through accordingly, as situations arose which required me to act decisively on my allegiance, and in alignment with my conscience, which was increasingly troubled by what I saw and felt. There was little respect for individual liberty of choice in good conscience.
If our conscience is active and sharp, we will be uncomfortable when asked to step over dangerous lines which would serve to blur our God given convictions of right and wrong, good and evil. People may not understand, may wonder what the fuss is about and just want us to “get over it” and do what is pragmatically expedient and popular at the time, to take what they consider to be the easiest route. However, that path may in fact be erronious and may ultimately serve to sully our very humanity and our spiritual well being. It is worth deep consideration.
I struggled somewhat with this, due to different and increasing levels of deprivation of numerous enjoyable amenities of life, but came to the conclusion that what was most important at this time was my relationship with God, and, if that was all that remained, it would be enough. The decision to become creative and have gratitude for what I could do, or have, became paramount.
I’ve taken a stand in writing letters to address situations. I’ve commented in some places on social media regarding my position on various posts. I’ve tried to remain balanced in the face of various opposition, personally and corporately.
I’m tired. However, I’m thankful to be driven back to my roots in faith, because ultimately that is what counts.
Be true to yourself.
Maintain your own integrity.
Ultimately, it’s between you and Him…..
Choose well….. ❤
