Don’t Get Your Shirt in a Knot!
For starters, I don’t think this is what you think it is….
I think it’s a very interesting, well balanced piece, on a very touchy subject these days. I know it’s something I have struggled with, because I have friends and family who are gay, and I love them, though I do not condone their actions or lifestyle. I think there is much condemnation and over emphasis on one aspect of life, and in pointing it out, we can become hypocritical, because, when under close scrutiny, we ALL have things in our life which are problematic or contrary to our own faith. NONE of us can claim to be perfect in all points, so why focus on a single area?
Proverbs 6:16-19 lists 7 things that God hates:
* Arrogant Eyes
* A Lying Tongue
* Hands That Shed Innocent Blood
* A Heart That Plots Wicked Schemes
* Feet Eager to Run to Evil
* A Lying Witness Who Gives False Testimony
* One Who Stirs Up Trouble Among Brothers
That’s quite a list to be going on with…..
