I just read this article and watched the little movie clip inside the article. It was such a blessing, in the words of a little girl and an old man.
I am guilty of letting so much of life just roll on by. I do try to take notice as much as I can otherwise, though, and it is always in the small things that I find the greatest wonder. Creation never fails to amaze me. I just do not get out into it often enough.
I so want to be different. I want to take the necessary steps. I want to be courageous in living this short life. 67 years of it gone by already and so much not yet experienced, sometimes out of fear, sometimes out of laziness, sometimes because of wrong priorities.
Often people ask “How was your day?”. Sometimes I do not know how to answer. Sometimes I reel off a list of things I did. Sometimes a list of things I did NOT do. Sometimes I just say “It was good“, but what do I mean by that? Not often what this little movie clip so clearly reveals. I want my “good” to mean those kind of things.
It’s time for me to WAKE UP!
How about you?
Here is the article containing the clip:

Great post and I enjoyed the video! Children are amazing. They take the simple things and make them magical. It makes me think back when we used to go out in the woods and built forts lol we would stay out there all day making little fort neighborhoods and try to convince our parents they were safe enough to spend the night in. I’ve been making a point this year to just go for it. To stop hiding under a rock and just make the most of everyday. Best wishes on your journey! 🙂

Lovely post and thanks for sharing the video. I’ve been keeping a Gratitude Journal for the past five years and it’s amazing how writing things down helps to remind us of what we have, whatever it might be. Sometimes it’s the smallest things that we so often take for granted but reflecting at the end of each day I’ve found really helpful. Warmest wishes to you for a happy and grateful 2016.

Thanks!
You too ❤
I reposted a 30 day gratitude journal on this blog when I first began here (it can be found in the sidebar under the name of "An Attitude of Gratitude"). It was in response to a challenge and I really got a lot out of it!
I do have my down periods though, and I seem to be in one of those slumps at least some of the time lately. This clip reminded me once again to resolve to be thankful…..

5 years us a long time to keep a gratitude journal! I’m impressed!
I do try to find things to be thankful for in every situation on a daily basis. I think that’s what keeps me alive 😉
