Where Are You From?

Are you a multi local, like me?

I never know what do do with the question “Where are you from?”. I was born in Scotland, but I live in Canada, and I am a member of Ka:’yu:’k’t’h’/Che:k’tles7et’h’ First Nations.

The idea presented in this clip, a new one to me, of considering one’s localities, is helpful to my thinking. It clarifies some of the confusion I feel when I am asked this question.
