My heart was in my mouth this morning as my brother phoned from Scotland and said I needed to call Dave, my Mom’s husband, about Mom.
So, I did and I just got news from him that my Mom is in hospital again. The bone in her leg that was broken that they could not fix last time, but put in a cast, has gone through the skin as they expected might happen and is now a gaping wound, which they may have to amputate. They may be thinking that this might be best in case of a worse scenario due to infection.
Those of you who know the power of prayer, please pray for wisdom for the doc to do what is the very best best for my Mom and peace in Dave’s heart about it all.
Thanks…..
AJ

For those of you who may not be aware of the background, and have not read posts on this from before, my Mom has been on this long journey for 2 years now. She is bedridden, does not move or talk any more or open her eyes. She has care 4 x a day, to be repositioned in bed and to try to get whatever nourishment they can into her.
I went to Scotland 2 years ago because docs said at that time that she was dying. I spent 3 weeks with my Mom then, helping in her care and just being present with her.
When I spoke to the doctor, she had no time frame for mom’s passing. She said Mom could leave us in a day, in a week, or in a year, but here she is still with us, 2 years later. I think this may be very much the start of a downhill journey now, though I pray for something different.
I appreciate your prayers!
Thanks so much!
