Ann's Corner

A taste of FAITH, a touch of LAUGHTER.

Sticking My Foot In It

Something I do periodically is stick my foot in it. I make an idiot out of myself by saying or doing completely the wrong thing.

It makes me squirm and I do long to take it back, but often there is no recourse, no way to apologise, no way to communicate how much sorrow there is for my bumbleheadedness. It just IS.

Non returnable. Non refundable. Non replaceable. Just a sore thumb sitting there. Even if it is wiped out and is not visible, it still burns in my mind. I DID that. I cannot undo that.

If I did it to YOU, please accept my deepest apology. My heart hurts for you. I love you ❤

We all do this at points in our life. I admire you for sharing this.

      Thank you!
At least it’s somewhere to express it….
I just did this AGAIN and it’s so frustrating not being able to apologise personally.
Doing this helps a little, though I hope I get the chance at some point to apologise more personally. I really prefer to keep short accounts, if and when I am able.

We all do it at some point. Don’t be too hard on yourself, move on.
