My pregnancy!
I always wanted a child of my own but couldn’t seem to have one after being “on the pill” for years. In my 30’s, I lived in a First Nations community and saw a lot of young women having babies, occasionally even one who did not even want the child they were carrying in their body. Many healthy brown babies were born, and I could not even have one!
I eventually married, but still no child! It grieved me. My arms were empty!
We went to see the doctor and were tested. Unbelievably, the doctor said I was just fine, but Jim had a problem. Our chances were very slim.
He asked a few questions and made some suggestions to Jim. Stop wearing tight jeans. Wear loose pants. Drink coffee.
Oh my! It was partly MY fault, since I had bought the jeans to replace his loose pants and I had encouraged tea rather than coffee. There were other reasons, but I had not helped the situation at all!
Anyway, I found the story of Hannah in the bible. She had prayed for a child and promised to dedicate and raise him for the Lord. So, I said that prayer, and God honoured me with pregnancy and a child to bring up for Him! Amazing!
I LOVED being pregnant!
A gift indeed!

Thank You God!

My best gift was salvation. And, the gift of family. And, my pets. ❤️
