A Quiet Reflection

I sit and listen to the clock tick and the occasional hum of trafic this evening. I’m pondering on life in the quiet reflection of the day.

A day without the stimulation of Facebook, it’s posts and notifications. I thought it would be harder, but it’s not. Not today anyway.

I went shopping. I picked up a few things while light snow twirled down around me.

I’ve absorbed a couple of devotional writings by Oswald Chambers. I’ve come to some realizations. Hard things. Definitely some spiritual “meat” for the hungry!

I’ve shed some tears. Last night’s prayer for contentment in my “now”, in the midst of my “present” being, with appreciation for all of it’s various “gifts”, has been answered.

It’s been a good day.
