Flowers vs Guns

As someone said, no, flowers and candles cannot protect us. I agree, but they will unite us and remind us with hope that there is beauty and love still well and alive in an ugly world.

I see how this little boy felt the hope, love and comfort of his Dad in his personal time of facing the sad reality of bad men and death. It was a beautiful moment, a simple way to share that though evil may happen, hope, love, and beauty, exemplified by flowers and candles, can conquer and prevail over the very present and harsh effects of evil.
