A taste of FAITH, a touch of LAUGHTER.

An Outing

Just had a lovely afternoon with my sister in law, Martha. She had messaged me about the warm sunshine outside. We often get together for a little outing, so we decided to do just that.

(Look at that blue sky!)

I saw that it was indeed a beautiful day, with the blue skies and some nice white clouds. I picked up Martha from her house to go thrift store shopping.

(On our way into town)

We both found ourselves some nice purchases. I got some really great clothing, but my best find was a cute little stool I fell in love with.

I had one more good find that is noteworthy. This item, for storage beside my chair. I love it! 😀

After we were done at the Salvation Army Thrift Store, Martha wanted to go to Dollarama and there we found a few more nifty things for little Christmas gifts (I can’t post pics. They’re GIFTS! But here’s the gift box they are in! )  😉

We decided to eat out at Banners, our usual Senior’s mini breakfast, which is one egg, one sausage (butterflied, please), a few hash browns and a slice of toast.

It costs less than $5 and really, it’s just right for our senior appetite. Occasionally, however, the cook makes a mistake and gives us 2 eggs, or 2 sausages, or a full breakfast and the waitress says never mind, we will just charge the same price. Their mistake. Our treat 😉
(We like the window seats overlooking the water)

While sitting there we noticed what had happened in the skies. The beautiful day with blue sky and clouds had turned suddenly ominous. Huge black grey clouds covered the sky. It was cold. The lighting was very strange. White things were VERY white. The dark clouds were almost black. Great contrast. The ruffled waters looked a very strange colour. I thought about the possibility of snow…

I took the pics I am sharing here. Some from outside, some from inside. Notice the unidentified flying objects in the one pic. I thought that looked rather special 😉

(The ferry. Clouds and blue sky. Not sure why the colour is so strange in this one)

On the way home, we noticed that this system was moving away from Campbell River, along the road out to Kyuquot. We were relieved to see it go.

After coming home I saw on Facebook that there was a post about fresh snow in the mountains on the way to Kyuquot, with a pic or so to prove it. I’ve borrowed a pic of the scenery from Kathy taken on her way home. Thanks, Kathy!

I’m happy to be home before a HUGE downpour! I hear it raging outside now. It’s definitely a night to be HOME and warm.

G’night folks!

Ann ❤

My replies are landing in the wrong spots, I think. There is something awry in my notifications where you can usually reply. Not showing up

I got this one. WordPress is so full of glitches and I have lost track of them. 😦 Frustratingly.
