I don’t know about this Pokemon thing……do you?
I have not downloaded the app, played the game, or seen anyone playing it, though I have heard about people flocking in groups everywhere to play.

I love it and I think the game is brilliant. Incorporating the real world into a game is remarkable and making us want to walk and travel is fun!

Yeah I’m playing! The addiction is real…for the first 2 weeks (at least for me) then the novelty wears off and it turns into casual play (again, this is just my experience). I think it’s a great concept and great social tool. I find myself talking more with complete strangers who are also playing the game! 😉👍

After watching co-workers spending most of their time trying to catch these things, hearing some horror stories about people being robbed, killed and other such nasty stuff- my opinion is, that I feel the concept would be good if it was more secure. Yes, it can help people to be outside more, talk more with others and such, but it is just a game and not a traditional game where the entire family can spend quality time together. I know others may be opposed to my opinion, but as I said after seeing and hearing news feeds about injuries, robberies and death- I’m all set.
I saw a young girl almost get hit in the parking lot because she was so eager to catch a Pokémon thing. Yes, it is up to the person playing to do so, but most of us know that games can leave us in a state of mindlessness. I play some silly games on my phone like Yahtzee, bingo, a couple of free fall games, and words with friends. However, I spend probably an hour at best every day if that. I don’t judge anyone for playing this game, I just worry about the safety of people who are. Hackers in this world have become much smarter than they were before. Our society has become too dependent on computers, technology and such to entertain us. What happened to the days of playing outside with a ball, Frisbee, hide and go seek, tag, cartoon tag, biking, swimming, etc…picnics..
Again, my opinion. For those who do play the game, please be safe.

I haven’t actually observed anyone playing……I guess I ‘m not out and about enough, and I’m usually driving when I am out.
